Traffic Impact Analysis
A traffic impact analysis (TIA) is a study that adequately assesses the traffic-related impacts of a proposed development on the existing and future thoroughfare system. Promet performs an extensive traffic analysis to clearly understand the impacts and propose necessary road improvements to accommodate the future traffic on the roadway system.
Traffic Assessment
A preliminary traffic assessment is generally needed to determine if a complete traffic impact analysis is needed for a proposed development. Promet uses the Institute of Transportation Engineers(ITE) trip generation manual to determine the amount of traffic that will be generated by a proposed development to determine the need for a complete traffic impact analysis.
Traffic Signal Warrant Analysis (TSWA)
Promet performs a TSWA for intersections to determine the need for a traffic signal. The study will conform with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) that is generally used by roadway managers nationwide in the US.
Traffic Signal Design
Promet prepares traffic signal designs for intersections that meet the MUTCD warrants as needed and also as per the City or Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) requirements. A traffic signal design project includes designing the signals, providing cost estimates, traffic signal phasing and other details that are required by the City or TxDOT.
Traffic Control Plans (TCP)
Promet prepares TCPs for projects that need traffic to be guided and protected to pass through or around a work zone. We aim to provide efficient traffic flow, enhanced safety, minimized inconvenience through our TCPs.
Pedestrian Studies:
We measure, analyze and improve pedestrian traffic areas at existing sites, downtowns and universities. We are capable of performing manual counts to assess and provide a pedestrian friendly environment to the projects.
Traffic Management Plans
Promet works with school management to provide an efficient way to manage traffic during the drop-off and pick-up times. We submit traffic management plans to the cities for approval and ensure the plans are being implemented correctly. We perform site visits as necessary.
Signs & Markings
Promet prepares all signs and markings for individual intersection, freeway corridors, and internal roads. We follow the MUTCD to prepare these layouts to conform with the standards and guidelines.
